When you’ve been screwed over by Mr. Wrong, let a Spectacular Rascal show you how good it feels to be bad.

You know the smooth, successful New York businessman type? Well, I’m the other guy–the one you don’t bring home to mama. The tattooed, rough-around-the-edges, 100% primal badass.

As the resident bad boy of Magnificent Bastard Consulting, I’ve got what it takes to make sure your dangerous dick of an ex thinks twice before he knocks on your door again.

Or I thought I did, until I meet my latest client…

Now my wild, sexy, one-that-got-away is looking up at me with her big green eyes, daring me to take on an ex as dick-ish and dangerous as hers. But all I want to do is take her–again and again.

Soon Cat and I are setting sex marathon records and medaling in the orgasm Olympics, all while staying one step ahead of her former Mr. Wrong. Everything is golden, except for the fact that I’m falling hard for this woman and all she wants is more of Curved for her Pleasure (trust me, the nickname fits).

Now I have to prove to Cat that I’m nothing like the dangerous man she left behind, and do it all before our time runs out. Considering her ex is with the mob, if we’re not careful, that could be sooner than either one of us thinks… Warning: SPECTACULAR RASCAL is a sexy, standalone romantic comedy told from the hero’s point of view. No cliffhanger. Lots of dirty talk.

Hot, hot and hot!! Three very clear words to describe our Spectacular Rascal Aidan. He can come to the rescue any day of the week.

Loved the first book so much that I couldn’t wait to get to Aiden’s story. From his antics at the end of Magnificent Bastard I knew it would be good. This one starts right as the other left off for him – running through the park naked all except for his boots. Being in his head at that moment was fun in itself. Shows what a good friend he is by his willingness to cause a bigger distraction than them going at it by the shore of the lake! So with Bash being cooped up for the next few days/weeks in bed with Penny it’s his turn to take the lead on a new case. Only problem with this one is that it ends up being a blast from the past, one he has never really been able to get out of his mind – Red Polka dot Panties (a dashers nickname, his being Curved for your Pleasure – which turns out to be very precise and accurate). When he walks into the coffee shop he is expecting someone called Beth. But Beth is Red and from the looks of it she knew exactly whom she was coming to see.

Cat (real name Catherine even though she told Bash it was Beth to begin with for their own protection) is in some trouble. She has an ex that just won’t take no for an answer. He won’t believe its over until she can prove she doesn’t want him by being with someone else. She needs someone tougher looking than him who can handle himself and once she saw Aiden’s ‘Spectacular Rascal’ profile she knew he was the best fit. The fact that she knew him from their college days is just a bonus to have a catch up, or maybe it means more if she’s being completely honest with herself. She just has to convince him to take the case and help her.

After a bit of a fiery catch up it ends with Aiden saying he can’t take the case and Cat leaving. To say he feels like shit for this would be an understatement so he goes after her. It’s while he’s looking that he sees, not only her coming back to the shop, but also the male predator that’s coming behind her. Acting on pure instinct he knows he can’t back off and leave her to fend for herself so goes right into ‘rascal mode’ by grabbing her close, talking dirty, giving her one hell of a kiss and getting very friendly up and close to a parked car. Only thing is it ends up being her ex Nico’s car, which after Cat explains a bit more Aiden finds out is a high up member of the mob. Well if she was to pick a bad guy she had to pick the worst!

After that confrontation Aiden makes it clear he is going to stay close to her from now on. Which only makes her now fear for his safety so tries to get him to go home so they can make a plan for the next day. Not that he listens. Loved when they finally made it back to her place (after a few hours of train hopping) and she is trying to convince him that her dog is really scary and might attack him if he comes in with her – she’s called Fang and everything. So when a little Chihuahua comes running round the corner you are laughing right along with Aiden.

The chemistry is there right from the start with these two but you know it has built up from their past. They both belonged to a dashers club in college – a club where you only know people by their nicknames. Loved the back and forth banter you get with the letters and texts from the archived messages between them and thought it was cleverly placed throughout the flow of the story. It gives them so much more depth and you can clearly see how their friendship was growing in to something more – even if they couldn’t see it straight away. Also explains how quickly they end up in bed together. Well not really quickly if you add two years worth of foreplay to start with and then throw in a ten-year gap between. Pleasure may be fast and crazy hot with these two but with the mob breathing down their necks nothing is going to be easy – let’s hope Nico gets what’s coming to him. Time to get away somewhere safe to hide out and have some fun. Only thing is that the closer they get the more feelings come to the surface. There was always a reason why Aiden could never get her out of his mind; he never listened back when he was younger so lets hope he listens now.

Loved the crazy shouting messages from Bash/Penny to Aiden when he informs them of the shitstorm that might be coming along with this case. Just shows how much they care and how close they are. Also good to have a brief catch up with them as loved them from their story. Cat’s best-friend Shane was a great laugh; she clearly has no filter and will say whatever is in her mind. Her story is going to be brilliant I can tell, can’t wait! OMG I loved Fangs chapter at the end so much! She is such a sweetheart; I think I melted a little while reading it. This dog is the cutest thing about this book. Loved that she calls Aiden Furry due to his beard.
