Stark is too old to be selling himself, or his services. He’s too set in his ways, too piled in grief, and well…it’s been too long. But when your best friend is a big demanding drag queen, and hosting the event, it’s impossible to say no. It’s one night, he convinces himself, and then he can get back to his reclusive life.

Scotty can handle the club for one night. It’s Christmas Eve after all, and the auction is for charity. If she saw her ex she could deal with it, she hoped and it wasn’t like she had to bid on anyone. But when she comes back from the bar she finds her best friend had other plans, and now she has a date with a mysterious dominant.

Goes down as another off my 2017 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – An erotica romance. Lets take a stroll into the world of a Dom/Sub relationship and an auction that turns out to be the best place to find the one perfect for you.

It’s Christmas Eve and Scotty’s best friend Cheri drags her along to an auction at the BDSM club that she used to frequent quite often with her ex Tanya. Seems she hasn’t been back to the club in a few years due to how that relationship ended. Tanya was her Domme at the time and she messed her up in quite a lot of ways with how she treated her. She doesn’t really want to face her, mainly because she hates to admit that she still has some pull over her after all these years. The auction itself is a little different as you are bidding to buy an evening of play with a Dom, Domme or Sub, all proceeds going to charity. She has no intention on bidding on anyone but humours her friend by at least looking. Well looking at the male side of the list because she can’t bear to see Tanya’s name. You never know she may be tempted as she is bi, well just to look anyway. Seems Cheri has other ideas though from the look on her face when she gets back to their table. It appears she has brought someone using her paddle, now its up to Scotty to decide if she wants to go through with meeting him.

Stark has turned into more of a recluse then ever since the death of his wife years before and it doesn’t look like it’s getting any better. His best friend and brother in law Matt (aka Pinky the drag queen) ropes him into being sold for his Dom services for one night. He goes last and hopes that it’s not a complete disaster. He might get sold but he never gets to meet the woman who brought him and leaves it to Matt to get some answers about her. At first he thinks she is a newbie and has no interest being someone to train her into their world but when he finds out whom she used to belong to he gets an idea as to why she hasn’t been to the club in a while.

What starts out as some innocent emails soon turns into dinner. Seems its like riding a bike with how easy they both fall back into the roles they haven’t played with in a while but with that comes its own problems and fears. From bad past experiences on both sides they are struggling at first to see how they want to continue. It can just be dinner but from the heat that builds throughout the evening you know they both want and need more. More they will get if panic attacks and a need to stay inside don’t keep holding them back. They both need to want to make it work to get what they really want out of this. She longs to be submissive but in the right way this time by being looked after properly by her Dom, something that Stark really wants to do. If they can both stop running away when the pressure and fears get too much then they might find they have found what they have both been looking for.

Loved the scenes they create whether at his place or the club, you can see quite quickly how much chemistry is between them. You also get an impression that them meeting might not have been purely by chance with how perfect they are at fixing the other. Cheri is a feisty character that is very loyal to her friend and I loved Matt/Pinky no matter who he was at the time. Creative colourful characters, ones you would want in your corner. Entertaining throughout with a good mix of romance, spice and kinky fantasies.
