10 cities in two weeks. 10 famous rock stars. On my knees. Against the wall. On my tits. I don’t care. As long as I get the evidence to prove it. Why? Because I caught my former prick of a boyfriend from Heavy Metal Enthusiasts doing a groupie doggie style backstage on the night we were supposed to be celebrating our 1 year anniversary.

He told me I was too uptight. Too vanilla. Too boring. So I got drunk with my bestie, Marsha West, the aspiring videographer. I ranted. I raved. I came up with a crazy idea. What I didn’t know was that my best friend recorded me. Marsha put the video up on YouTube. It went viral with 10 million hits. Now I’ve got fans and sponsors offering me big bucks.

Rock stars are volunteering to be my f*ck buddy.

Hollywood is calling.

I get to choose which rock stars I want.

The stakes are high.

This sh*t just got real.
What could go wrong?

Rock Stars. Romance. Redemption.

Rock stars, myths, and legends collide with paranormal romance in a totally mesmerizing way in the MAGIC series.

Catch the perfect wave with irresistible surfers in the ROCK STARS, SURF AND SECOND CHANCES series.

Romance and self-discovery, the FINDING ME series is a Tempest spin off with a more experienced but familiar cast of characters.

When Michelle is not prowling the streets of her Texas town listening to her rock or NOLA funk music much too loud, she is putting her daydreams down on paper or traveling the world with her family and friends, sometimes for real, and sometimes just for pretend.

Book Review: ‘Her Last Breath’ by J.A. Schneider

A chilling psychological thriller about a woman caught between two men…Mari Gill wakes to horror in a strange apartment next to a murdered man, and can’t remember the night before. Accused of murder, she feels torn between her husband, a successful defense attorney, and a mysterious, kind man who wants to help. Can she trust either of them – or even her friends? Detective Kerri Blasco battles her police bosses believing Mari is innocent…but is she?

Goes down as another off my 2017 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A book about a detective. Couldn’t wait to read this one, as I loved Fear Dreams so much. Wanted to see what case Kerri would get next and how she would take on the challenge that would no doubt come with it. Trust her vibes people, they are never wrong.

So Mari wakes up in a strange bed with a dead man next to her, knife in his chest and has no recollection of how she got there or who the guy is. Talk about a shock to the system. The danger with shock quite like that for her is that it brings on one hell of an asthmatic attack. So shocked about what she sees, and about the fact she’s not sure how much longer she can breath, she jumps from the bed knocks over a lamp and crawls through broken glass to get to her bag. Hidden under a desk she gets her inhaler but the pressure is too much and it falls from her hands. It’s a good thing that Jay was on hand then. On the cusp of almost stopping breathing altogether Jay crashes through the door to save her life. Let’s see how fast you can fall for a hero shall we. All I can say about him is that it’s a good job he saw the whole scene as a set up from the start. Though who the person behind it was is something else entirely. Good job she has a defence lawyer for a husband then isn’t it. Well they are on a trial break at the moment but with the craziness coming their way I’m thinking it’s going to be permanent.

When Detectives Kerri Blasco and Alex Brand get to the scene you can see they have very different ideas to start with about what they are seeing. Alex is very much in the mind of thinking that the woman waking up next to the dead guy is more than likely the one that killed him, but Kerri isn’t so sure. Nothing about the scene makes sense and the longer she looks at it and Mari the more convinced she is of it. Her main issue being that Mari is meant to have stab this guy and then decided to take a nap by the side of him. Umm… I don’t think so. Her boss however isn’t too happy about not having an open and shut case. Only after her begging a bit does he give her a day to walk through the evidence more to see what really happened. He really should listen to her vibes more as they are very rarely wrong. They have a high profile case with the press hounding them; they really don’t want another bad mark or a lawsuit on the department. Especially when Mari has her big shot defence lawyer husband on the case. A day to crack a case that just brings up more clues than answers and still may or may not point the finger squarely at Mari. Couldn’t be too hard could it?

Seems Joaquin Ivanovic, the dead guy, was a fashion up and coming photographer with a bit of a mean streak with the models he worked with. He may have had it coming but from who and why. Mari’s friend Jenna and her boyfriend Rob you just get a very weird vibe from right from the start. The more they are mention the more you might think they are involved but then something else comes to light and the focus draws to someone new. You have many players each with a plausible reason but who is the one really pulling the strings. It’s a great way to keep you guessing to the end to see how it will all play out.

A psychological thriller at its best, Joyce really knows how to write a good gripping story. You should definitely check out her books.

Release Blitz: ‘Still Waters’ by Anne Malcom

Title: Still Waters (Greenstone Security #1)

Author: Anne Malcom

Release Date: March 31, 2017

There’s a phrase: Still waters run deep.

But there’s more to it than that.

Because “still” doesn’t denote peace. Nor calm. Nor happiness.

It’s an illusion. It’s chaos.

The only way to handle chaos is to become it.

That’s what Lucy did. She created stillness out of the chaos tumbling inside her and called the most chaotic motorcycle club in the United States her family.

The Sons of Templar gave her chaos, friendship, family, danger and death.

But she wouldn’t want it any other way.

Then he came. The one who showed her that her handle on chaos was tumultuous at best.

Showed her how to stand still.

And how good it could be.

And how drowning in those waters comes as easy as breathing.

Book Review: ‘Loose Ends’ by Taylor Dawn

Published: 4th February 2016

Publisher: Princess Press

Author: Taylor Dawn

***Can be read as a stand alone novel***

Ava Greenwood never dreamed she’d be standing at the bus station in Chicago running away from the counterfeit life she’d thought was perfect. On a whim backed by fear, Ava chooses Biloxi Mississippi. Now, the sweet hairstylist must assume a new identity and hope her old life doesn’t catch up with her.

Luke Daughtry has been sent to track Ava down. He has one mission…find the petite blonde and make sure she doesn’t leave the Magnolia State…alive. Everything changes when sparks fly between the two and Luke has doubts about the job he’s been paid to do.

Follow Ava and Luke as they scorch the south and tie up loose ends, in this sweltering romantic suspense from International Bestselling Author, Taylor Dawn.

Goes down as another off my 2017 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A contemporary romance. Well a bit more like a contemporary suspense romance but good all the same.

So we know that Ava is on the run from Chicago but we don’t really know why. Just that she’s scared and is trying to disappear. Grabbing a bag and high tailing it to a bus station to get a ticket to anywhere it seems. Anywhere turning out to be Biloxi, Mississippi where she has stayed hidden for two years working as a hairdresser. Hidden but never feeling completely safe. Always looking over her shoulder waiting for the moment she will have to run again. Seems her past is catching up with her though with Luke somehow being front and centre in the game that’s just started. Is he playing both sides? Are either of those sides going to keep her safe?

So Luke has been tasked to find Ava but by whom we do not know. It seems that their might be two ‘who’s’ as well so you can never get a feel on him right away. He comes across as a bit of confident jerk to begin with. Ava certainly puts him in his place. He should have been weary as she was holding shears at the time. When he walks into her hairdressing salon she wastes no time checking him out. It goes for him as well as I don’t think he was really expecting someone so stunning. Seems he has caught her attention from the get go, like she has caught his, more than he would care to admit. He is meant to keep an eye on her, she is a target, and to do that he needs to get close. Seems his lines are about to be blurred as after a bit of banter back and forth at a bar later that night Ava clearly wants the last word. Namely by jumping in his truck and kissing him senseless, then hoping back out. If he thought this job was going to be easy that just went right out the window. He can’t deny his attraction to her and decides to go down the date route to stay close. He just didn’t except the chemistry to be so strong so fast. She’s bold, sassy and brave and draws to him like no other. A weekend date at his and all bets are off. Love the sound of his old two-story plantation house, mental picture very good. They sure have fun on that porch don’t they? Good job the railings are strong enough to hold on to. But danger and trouble are never too far behind. He has a job to do and you can clearly see how torn he is about it. Do what he has to or what he wants to? Is she safe in the arms of the one who holds/controls her passion or is he the one putting her in harms way?

Great chemistry and back and forth banter between not only Ava and Luke but also her friend Brandi and his ‘cousin’ Cole. Love how at the BBQ she just goes right up to him to ask a certain question. She more than likes the answer she gets. Great start to the series that will keep you hooked to see what might happen next.

Book Review: ‘Making the Cut’ by Anne Malcom

Title: Making the Cut (The Sons of Templar MC Book 1)

Published: 26th April 2015

Author: Anne Malcom

Gwen Alexandra does not need a man in her life. Especially not a man who looks like Chris Hemsworth and Joe Manganiello’s love child. One wearing leather, riding a Harley, and covered in tattoos.

Gwen can bet every pair of her Manolo’s that Cade Fletcher is trouble. From the moment she meets him, the attraction sizzles between them. Gwen has a problem when it comes to attractive men in motorcycle clubs. The last one she got involved with almost killed her.

After healing physically, Gwen decides to get a new start in a small town, half a country away from the man who nearly cost her her life. She isn’t in town five minutes when she runs into Cade, a man that is too sexy and dangerous for his own good.

She tries to keep away from him, to ignore the attraction between them. But the biker has other ideas, soon she is in way over her head, and her heart, and her life are in danger once again.

Goes down as another off my 2017 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A book with action and adventure in it. It has both in spades and you are just enjoying the ride it takes you on.

OMG with what Gwen had been through you can completely understand why she would be weary of men, especially those wearing Cuts. You start right in the middle of her brutal attack and know she gets away to heal physically but mentally is something else entirely. Seems those she should be afraid of might just be the ones to heal her most. Cade most definitely being the one out front in that respect.

So Gwen is in Amber at her new house for all of five minutes before she is confronted with Cade. You would think that a deep sexy voice asking if she needs any help would have her head spin. It does just not the way Cade was hoping for. He can see her fear straight away so backs off, but not before saying he will see her around. The way he says it is like a promise. One meeting and her heart is going ten to the dozen, and not just from fear, something a little further south is waking up. When her best friend Amy arrives they start with setting up her new clothes store and Amy can’t help but notice all the good looking men that appear to be around town. (Seriously though are only hot people allowed to live here? Umm… holiday location perhaps?) She is more than pleased when she notices some while they are out at dinner. Not so much when she sees Gwen almost have a panic attack at the sight of them, only after noticing that they are wearing cuts. You really would want her in your corner because she more than handles it when they come over to say hi. They might be acting polite but Gwen still can’t get away quick enough. If she thought that was the last she would see of Cade she was severely mistaken. Out on her porch in the middle of the night – while getting a little handsy at the thought of Cade I might add – she gets a shock when he appears. Dropping her wine glass has her stepping right on it. Cade to the rescue it seems as he soon sweeps her off her feet. Seems even she can’t deny the chemistry when he has her that close. I mean seriously you are just waiting for a match to spark it – though that doesn’t happen until a few days later at a friendly BBQ. It’s pretty clear that he has claimed her, whether she is ready to except it is something else entirely.

Cade is clearly a man who knows what he wants and goes for it. One look and he decided that Gwen was going to be his but to get her he needs to understand why she all but faints at the sight of him and his boys. Yes he can be a bit crass at times (is it wrong that I kind of liked it?) and pretty much likes to tell her he wants to fuck her any chance he can get, but she does manage to put him in his place when he does. She can also be a bit whiney at times herself, frustrating him right back, mainly after she has had a couple of drinks. (Side note – they do like to have a few drinks in this one. Must be the heat.) Being involved with someone from a MC has its drawbacks though. Something Gwen knows only too well and the longer she is with him the more those drawbacks show their ugly heads, namely in the shape of spiders. Danger is never too far away and its not just from the past. Its what she was running from and it seems to be following her in a different way. Can Cade keep her safe and help her heal or will she burn all over again?

Loved the other characters that come into the action. Lucky was hilarious and my heart just broke for Bull. Poor Luke, the cop vying for Gwen’s attention, he never really stood a chance. I’m afraid that ship sailed after one look from Cade. Amy was a bit of a comical value and she seems to like putting herself in a mess in the relationship department. I really want to know whom she would have chosen though, Ian or Brock. Heartache at the end, but I did kind of see it coming.

Out of this world chemistry. Seriously how hot do they burn? Supernova I think! If you were looking for a good MC romance to get started with then I would definitely recommend this one. Can’t wait to check out the rest of the series now. Who’s up for moving to Amber? I know I am.
