Synopsis:

One week in paradise with the one man I can’t resist…

Will Cassidy is hot, infuriating, and the guy behind the biggest heart-stomping humiliation of my life. He’s also hosting my BFF’s destination wedding at his super-luxe tropical resort, so short of a hurricane or outbreak of the plague (here’s hoping), I’m stuck within tongue’s arm’s reach of him for the next seven days.

But I’m not a naive college girl anymore, and there’s no way I’m falling for his (many) charms again. I just have to ignore the romantic wedding shenanigans, his miraculous abs, all those intimate beach sunsets… And did I mention those abs?

Maybe a wild vacation fling is exactly what I need to even the score… But between the scorching chemistry and all-inclusive margaritas, I’m getting drunk on love. Which definitely isn’t part of the plan.

Can I keep my heart zipped – even if my bikini bottoms are lost somewhere on that nude beach? And how do you let go of the past when you’re holding on tight to the past’s (very ripped) torso?

Find out in the sexy, hilarious new romantic comedy from Lila Monroe!

Review:

So being stuck on an island with the one who stomped all over your heart might not be the best way to relax. Especially when it looks like he is there for the same reason you are. Ruby’s best-friend Brooke is getting married in paradise and it turns out that this paradise was a gift to them from her fiancé Trevor’s friend Will. Have the resort and all the trimmings for the guests and wedding for a week, sounds great right? Well it would be good if Will wasn’t ‘the Will’ from her college days who after she poured her heart out in a letter decided to stomp all over it. To think she had put it behind her would be somewhat of a misconception on her part as the moment she sees him she is right back to that day. Shame his sexiness isn’t feeling the same vibes as all he comes across as is a long lost friend who wants to reconnect. She can’t believe it at first but the longer she is in his presence the more she seems to be tempted. I mean come on romantic beach setting, him being all sweet, chemistry sizzling between them and can I just say hello abs. He is certainly not complaining when he finally gets his hands on her. When is she ever going to see him again? Could she take her friends advice and just have a bit of fun in the sun? Because the vibe coming off him is suggesting that he would be well up for it.

Misunderstanding central when it comes to Ruby and Will and it only gets worse before it gets better. Chemistry and heat rising hot enough to burn the place down from the get go though. Time apart has definitely made them appreciate what they have now. Fling in paradise or can they take it home? Easy to see how they used to be close friends with how easily they fell back in pace with each other. It then goes to a whole other level after a bit of sexy dancing. Love the waterfall scene. Will really should have known better than to think she would back down from him. He gets one hell of a view though so not sure he minds. He might have needed to take a dip himself to cool off.

Other characters are an interesting mix that works well together so you aren’t solely focused on what Ruby and Will are doing. Even though they are great and you want to follow them. You can get a feel for how the week comes together for everybody around them too.

Love the ending; Will creates a very ‘Ruby’ way to set the record straight to get what he’s always wanted. Lila’s books always have a funny vibe running throughout alongside the romance, which I love. Great mix with the two and another great read.

5 out of 5 stars
