He only has eyes for her, but will he cross that line in order to claim her?

At nineteen years old, Kara wants one thing, and that’s graduating college in three years. She’s failed the last history class with a different professor, and she needs this time to be different. Her future career is on the line.

Jack Howard knows how to keep his classroom under control, yet under all those layers is a man who knows what he wants. The day Kara walks into his classroom, he has a hunch she’ll be trouble. He knows she’ll be all he thinks about. With her short skirts and long legs, keeping his history notes straight might be a challenge this semester.

This is the last thing he needs…and yet, exactly what he’s been waiting for.

If you enjoy steamy romance stories with alpha men, guilty pleasures, happily ever afters, no cliffhangers, no cheating, and a touch over-the-top, then you’ll love Class is in Session. Get your fix with a story that hits the spot and doesn’t take all year to read.

Goes down as another off my 2019 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A book with a teacher in it. Short, sweet and spicy when it comes to this read. Kara’s meeting with her professor Jack turns out a little different than expected.

So Kara has a bit of a soft spot for her History professor and tries to get to the front of class whenever she can. Mainly just so she can stare a bit and not so much to get picked on to answer questions. Stress of life and all its troubles put a strain on her revision time. His is one of her favourite classes and she loves that she gets to call him Jack, only person in the class to do so. He also appears to be interested in her life outside of the classroom too. Can you guess why?

So a trip to his office after class fills in a whole lot of blanks as to how he feels and what he wants them to be. He’s just hoping that it matches what she wants. He may come across as a little bit manipulative in how he gets her alone, and later what they get up to, but I think that feelings had started to progress for a while on both sides before bringing them together when the time was right. Seems our professor is pretty much in love with Kara and wants nothing more than to start a relationship with her.

To say that Kara is gob smacked would be putting it mildly but that gets pushed aside the moment he kisses her. Once that line has been crossed there is no turning back, not that it looks like either of them want to any time soon given what then takes place in that office. Time to take things slow now professor if you want her to think this is about more than just trying to get your leg over. Good job someone knocks at just the right – or maybe wrong – time. All I’ll say is that that must be some placed bookcase to keep more than one thing hidden.

I feel like as a reader we have come into the story right near the end so you have to imagine how the connection has slowly been forming for months before this point. A few more chapters before the start might have flushed out the characters a bit more to get inside their heads but for a short read it was fun all the same.

4 out of 5 stars

I am a Beta reader for the author and received this ARC for my honest review.
