Imagine you’re a matchmaker and you realize too late you’re in love with your childhood best friend. You only have yourself to blame—you’re the one who matched him and now he’s engaged to be married. When you find yourself in this position there’s a few secrets you’re going to need to keep…

Secret #1 – Smile when he tells you the happy news, even if your heart cracks in half.
Secret #2 – Don’t compare yourself to his beautiful French fiancée. You’re just as beautiful.
Secret #3 – Don’t tag along to the tux fitting with him alone. Just no.
Secret #4 – Don’t help him learn to dance to his wedding song.
Secret #5 – Erase all memories of the two of you through the years when lines blurred for even the briefest of moments.

And the one you never saw coming…

Secret #6 – Definitely, don’t stand and object—someone else might just do it for you.

Review:

Loved it from start to finish and read in one sitting. Just couldn’t put it down. Brilliant that we got a few flashbacks to when key events in Juno and Colton’s lives changed how they really saw each other.

I knew there was something fishy about that engagement the moment it came about. It just didn’t feel right with how close they both were. Though in some ways it needed to happen to push our girl Juno to finally see what literally the whole town has always seen. That her and Colton were meant to be together no matter what. She may have been afraid and let her own insecurities take control for the most part of their friendship but at the thought of losing him to someone else I think it was the push she needed to finally admit to herself what she really felt and why pushing him away was not going to work.

Friends to lovers romance at its best with these two, they just needed one hell of a push to take that leap to get what they have always wanted. Friends for so long you’d wonder if it would ever happen but once the walls are down and feelings laid bare they can’t keep their hands off each other. They don’t need to do the whole slowly getting to know each other part of a new relationship because they already know each other inside out so can’t wait to just start being in the moment with each other as they should always have been.

Well, almost as there’s always something holding one person, sometimes both, back in these books ready for Dori to swoop in with her words of wisdom. She’ll have her hands full for the last two of the clan before her family is happily settled just the way she wants. I think Juno and Colton will be glad when she is focused on someone else sharpish though so she’s less likely to walk into their house when they are right in the middle of something. Get used to it Colton, Dori won’t be giving that key back any time soon.

What a shocker at the end though! Nice line up for the next books coming. Can’t wait!

5 out of 5 stars
