Synopsis:

The perfect woman. Isn’t that what every man wants?

Alan’s been on one date after another, and none of them have worked out. Apparently being a scientist isn’t the most sought after quality in the dating world. He’s never had any inappropriate thoughts about the android he’s been working on at his day job. That is, until she starts flirting with him.

He programmed the unit to have lifelike qualities, but this was far beyond what he intended. Now the robot he helped create wears tight-fitting outfits, revealing robes, and tries in every way to catch his eye.

He considers himself a man of integrity, but there’s only so much he can take.

(This explicit, 4,200 word story is intended for adult readers only.)

Review:

Goes down as another off my 2018 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A book with a person’s name in the title.

An interesting story showing an awakening of a different kind with the introduction of a realistic female robot beginning to learn and want to please her master. Alan is soon slipping into the world of taboo and it doesn’t take long before curiosity, and his libido, takes the lead. Especially with Emma at the held, seemingly calling his nature to the front of his mind. So who is really teaching whom in this creator creation environment?

So Alan has been in a bit of a dry spell at the moment with either no date or boring dates, namely him being the one to bore them. Seems he is just too wrapped up in his work to talk about anything different, to the point of taking his work home with him. The work in question is the creation of a lifelike female robot that is being trained to do basic chores to see how much it can learn. Seems this creation, M537, takes learning to the next level when it starts to think for itself and wants to create its own identity. Namely be calling herself Emma. At first Alan can’t see any harm in this but seems to be getting a bit more concerned about her behaviour when she starts thinking for herself and craving affection between the two of them.

Seems Emma wants to please Alan, starts with calling him her master. He made her so, from watching TV and studying manuals he left on his computer, wants to show her appreciation and act like she thinks women do. Seems the manuals in question have Alan starting to panic as they were from his personal computer and more to do with looking at what he has been missing out on the last six months. The longer he has her in his place the more he starts to see her as a ‘her’ and not ‘it’. Worrying him to no end. Coming home from work and finding her waiting for him with a meal and trying to seduce him has his head spinning. He goes to sleep thinking about how easy it would be to have her instead of someone real. But that’s the thing; he is starting to see her as something real. More so when she wakes him up and his restraint just snaps.

Seems she is more than willing to demonstrate all she has learned and given her reactions she has gone above and beyond. Something he is very pleased about. She might even have some insights into why Alan is single in the first place. Seems taking his work home with him might have helped him out with what was troubling him. His bad luck with the opposite sex and his current lack of libido use. Two birds, one robot – let’s see where he goes from here and how much more Emma wants to learn and with whom.

Another fun quirky short read with a difference to get wrapped up in.

Book Review: ‘Carnal Desire’ by Sebastian Ex

Title: Carnal Desire (The Onyx Club #3)

Published: 22nd November 2015

Author: Sebastian Ex

Synopsis:

My name is Nathan Stone, and I’m part owner of a BDSM club called The Onyx Room – and I’m not like any other man you’ve ever met. I own the club with my two best friends, Matthew and Brandon. I’m the dungeon Master who runs The Onyx Room. Matthew and Brandon support me. I’m also in love with my girl. Bianca and I have been together since the night she got in my car to sell me her body. She thought I’d take her for an hour to sate my carnal desire, but what she didn’t know was that I’d seen her before and purposely bought her to save her from herself. Bianca needed more than a Dominant. She needed a Master. My name is Master Nathan Stone, and welcome to my world.

*Possible triggers, coarse language, graphic sex and adult themes.

Review:

Goes down as another off my 2018 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A book from your Goodreads ‘to-read’ list. Delve into a different kind of love story with this Master/Slave relationship.

This story is definitely darker than the others with Bianca’s back-story, which is quite bad when you find out all the facts. A trigger warning with this one due to child abuse and self-harm issues raised throughout. All I can say is that Bianca had one fucked up childhood and you thank god that Nathan found her. He saved her in more ways than one and continues to do so with trying to keep her safe from anything that could harm her, including from herself.

Nathan and Bianca’s relationship is one of Master and Slave. He controls everything that she does and for her it’s freeing. One example being when he puts her in a safe jacket and her response to why she wants it tighter is that she feels its like having him hold her completely and because of this she knows nothing can hurt her when she is in that mind space. She lets go of control knowing that everything he does is for her best interests because he loves her completely. She needs this level of control to be able to cope with what happened in her past but even this can sometimes get the best of her. The darkness that slips through to the surface can have dangerous results with her going into a downward spiral. Nathan has started to learn the tells she gives that memories are starting to pull her back under to somewhere she doesn’t want to go. One sure way to pull her back to the present is to do a scene with her. Within a scene he can control her pleasure and pain. Her pain being a key thing, for this is something that she has tried to do to herself when in a dark place. To cut the bad out so it can’t touch her. With Nathan controlling this she can get the feeling of the darkness being released in a safer environment knowing that he will take care of her throughout and after. The aftercare being a very big part of any scene that he does as it is another way to show her how much he cares for her. To be his slave is that safest thing for her and she has never felt more complete but her past is about to come crashing into her present and the ramifications could be dangerous for those involved.

Now these men clearly would do anything and everything for their women. Not only that but Nathan, Matthew and Brandon see each other as brothers and with that they all have a need to protect everyone close to them. When dangers of Bianca’s past come back to haunt her they know that they need to tread carefully to be able to handle the situation once and for all as it may not present itself again. Now their way of dealing with things may take them on a darker route sometimes but when you find out everything that happened to Bianca you really want them to get even and then some. Also good that Nathan’s real brother Jason has certain skills that could come in handy when the time comes. He was a fun character that definitely managed to hold a scene no matter how long he was in it for.

Yes this story has its darker turns but still manages to get some hot and heavy scenes in too. The Master/Slave scenes you may find a bit hard-core but the dinner party at Nathan and Bianca’s that all our favourites turn up to – Matthew, Ella, Brandon and Penny – definitely gets more than steamy enough for those involved. Dessert anyone? Let’s just say that these men really enjoy eating pie, no matter where it is placed.

Book Review: ‘Satisfaction Guaranteed’ by Ava Sterling

Title: Satisfaction Guaranteed: An Erotic Massage Story

Published: 21st December 2017

Publisher: Red Lace Publishing

Author: Ava Sterling

Twitter: @ava_sterling

Synopsis:

She’s never given a happy ending before, but there’s a first time for everything.

Dawn has had it with Anastasia. Ever since Dawn started as a massage therapist, Anastasia has made it clear that she’s the kind of boss who doesn’t take any excuses. In fact, Anastasia recently fired a girl for doing things to clients that weren’t exactly on the menu.

When Blake is referred there by a co-worker, Dawn finds an attractive man walking through their door. After Anastasia yells at Dawn for being late, Dawn can’t help but consider ways to get back at her. She comes up with an idea that would really make Anastasia mad, and it’s one where she gets to have some fun too.

Blake comes in for a massage, but ends up getting much more than he bargained for.

(This explicit, 4,600 word story is intended for adult readers only.)

Review:

Goes down as the first off my 2018 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A short story.

Calm and serene into something a whole lot hotter. A massage that had a very happy ending for both parties involved, even without that being the plan to start with. Both seem to have a lot of fun and if Dawn’s mindset is anything to go by I don’t think the fun will stop there. Seems the thrill of being caught by her boss means she wants to have a little fun and Blake is not going to complain one bit.

Blake has clearly been feeling run down with of his job. Under stimulated means boredom is soon to step in. Seems with this boredom comes a need to do something a little reckless. Something like sneaking into his colleagues’ office and taking a drink of his bourbon. If Warren can get away with having some in his coffee then he should get some too. All good until he wakes up and catches him. With the fact he was asleep at his desk he really doesn’t have a leg to stand on work ethics wise. Seems he wants to help out with Blake’s boredom by giving him a card to a massage parlour that gave him a ‘special’ ending. His thinking that if one girl did it then the others might too. Blake at first has no intention on usually the referral card but you know that temptation is going to get the better of him.

Dawn loves her job but clearly hates her stuck up boss. A few minutes late and she knows she’s going to get an earful. Thankfully she is saved from it turning worse with the arrival of a new customer. One that makes her mind wonder into all sorts of interesting places. When its clear that he has been given a card and an impression of the types of massages he could get – being very wrong with the place – she decides to give him one on the house to apologize for the misinformation. Has nothing to do with the fact she really wants to get her hands on him. Seems he is a first timer so doesn’t know what he should keep on or rather take off – that being everything. A simple massage to start with when he is lying on his front but when the tent she creates so he can turn over to his back stays very much in the air after she drops the sheet back down her mind definitely starts to wonder more. Just what could she do to get her boss to go crazy and yell at her. I think she can think of a few things and Blake is more than happy to let her. He might be shocked by the turn of things to start with but they were heading in that direction the moment his body decided to have that kind of reaction to her magic hands.

Blake is happy to have his pesky knots taken care of by Dawn’s magic hands but its when they start to wonder further a field that he gets the true magic he has been missing, her too as its not just her hands that are magic. The thrill of getting caught and having to stay quiet and then not really be able to is what helps create a fun connection between the two of them. Not a lot of dialogue between the two but this one is more about what their bodies are saying anyway and I think they are going to want to continue talking for a while to come.

Book Review: ‘Trading Hearts’ by Saskia Walker

Title: Trading Hearts: Boxed Set

Published: 29th August 2016

Author: Saskia Walker

Twitter: @saskiawalker

Goodreads: www.goodreads.com/author/show/104558.Saskia_Walker

Synopsis:

In her master’s arms she becomes pleasure incarnate… Naomi Kildare, a young Scottish fashion designer, travels to London to meet a renowned fashion buyer, but when the buyer is called away she meets Lucas Eaglestone instead.

Lucas is tall, dark, and masterful – and he wants Naomi. He is a direct man, and he asks Naomi to surrender to him, totally. Lucas quickly unveils Naomi’s true nature and at his hands she experiences sexual pleasures beyond her wildest dreams. She is enthralled by his physical and emotional claim on her, but she isn’t willing to sell her own dreams in exchange for a decadent life as his willing submissive.

Lucas wants Naomi more than anything and he would pull the stars from the sky for her if she would agree to accept them. He vows to win her, but first he has to make some big changes to prove to her that their Dom/sub symbiosis is precious and worth fighting for. Together they could be the perfect match but trading hearts is never that simple.

Review:

Goes down as another off my 2017 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A trilogy (The Buyer, The Seller and The Deal). Three for the price of one and just getting hotter the further you go, so hold on for a fun ride.

The Buyer:

Naomi is in fashion and has a bespoke clothing design shop in Edinburgh. To get her store more exposure she needs the help of an advertiser so heads on down to London to see the buyer Georgio at Eaglestone Agency to see if they would be interested in helping her build her companies brand. A family matter seems to keep Georgio away but when a certain mystery man in reception, one she can’t take her eyes off, steps in to hear her pitch things start to look up. Takes her a while before she realizes that this mystery man is none other than the head of the company she went to see, Lucas Eaglestone. Things might just start to get complicated.

One look and you can see the chemistry between them, which only builds the longer the meeting progresses. Seems its not just Naomi who is entranced by his presence, as she is the first person to make him think twice about in a long time. She can almost feel the dominance coming off him with how he acts around her. What she thought might scare her off only gets her more excited the longer the meeting goes. Which is then making her second guess herself as she is meant to have her business head on not her libido one. After the meeting he insists on taking her to dinner. She knows the minute she accepts where it will end but she can’t seem to deny him, or herself, as she knows it will be good. And good it is but in a completely new way for her. He might have been able to see her willingness to submit but it’s still raw and intense for her. He likes to have control in all things but can sometimes take it a step too far when trying to mix business and pleasure together.

The Seller:

So thinking his contract has an ulterior motive Naomi high tails it back to Edinburgh thinking to never see Lucas again. Gets a shock when she finds him at her shop door then. Planes trump trains every time it seems. He is willing to do whatever it takes to make her see he wants her alone. He’s going to need to pull out a few stops when his ex Clara makes an appearance because she sure knows how to push peoples buttons.

The Deal:

Seems Naomi can’t catch a break when it comes to Lucas’ ex Clara. Always wanting to make a scene no matter what. The more time she spends with him the more she submits to his will and its fear of losing herself and her goal that makes her want to pull back. Well she might say she wants to leave when things get heated but Lucas can read her so well that he always knows what she really wants. Great at giving it to her too! In the bedroom department – or wherever they might happen to be when horny – they work but outside is where the issues arise. If he wants to keep her he needs to stop trying to control everything and communicate. Otherwise he might lose her forever.

Book Review: ‘His Little Secret’ by Ava Sterling

Title: His Little Secret

Published: 18th November 2017

Publisher: Red Lace Publishing

Author: Ava Sterling

Twitter: @ava_sterling

Synopsis:

Julie’s husband has a secret.

While investigating what that secret is, she discovers Tracy and RJ, an attractive couple who know Greg, her husband, going back years. Greg hasn’t mentioned them before.

After meeting with Tracy, she gives Julie a kiss on the cheek goodbye. The impression of that kiss stays with Julie the rest of the night. In fact, it inspires her next move, which is to tell Greg to invite them over for dinner.

It starts out with the entree, but the four of them turn out to be dessert. When Julie first met Tracy, she never imagined she’d get to know her and her husband in such an intimate manner.

(This explicit, 4,300 word story is intended for adult readers only.)

Review:

Short and spicy little read with this one where Julie’s conservative views on sex takes one hell of a leap into the taboo when she figures out her husbands little swinger secret.

Newly married and all should be well within the bedroom department but I think even Julie is feeling like Greg is holding something back. A secret she longs to uncover and with the fact that she is a reporter it seems she has the means to do so. Well her and her friend who is just as good at sniffing out secrets. It’s after a few misguided guesses that she finds the address of where her husbands’ secrets might be revealed.

Seems The Roundup is a discreet club where you can get away with all things a little shady and RJ might be the key. Well that’s what Julie thinks until she meets Tracy and gets a bit of a shock when informed on what her husband used to get up to. Just having his tales told to her is enough to get her pulse racing and it’s not long before she realises that it’s not just imagining her husband that has her intrigued. Seems he’s in for a bit of a nice surprise when he gets home later that day as she is all up for trying new things, he’s never led her astray before with something she couldn’t handle so why start now.

Might start out a little calm over dinner with the four of them but its not long before the fun really starts. It’s surprising that its Julie who seems to get the games started so to speak. I think it might have been the nerves and only when she let herself go with the flow she found she could escape her own head and just feel what, or rather who, was around her. Doesn’t take long for this party to go from naught to sixty on the hot-o-meter. One thing’s for sure they all get to have a happy ending on this chain of orgasmic fun.

Julie seems to have her eyes opened to another way of expressing herself and I don’t think for one moment that it will be the one and only time she shares her husband with another couple. Seems this is just the start of a lot more heated fun to come. Would be worth taking a look down the road to see what they get up to next time and with whom.
