How did the most embarrassing date of my life turn into the most amazing sex of my life? Sometimes dating feels like a job and sometimes it has major benefits. Right now it’s paying off in a rocking orgasm. The boat I’m on is pitching to a different rhythm than the thrusting of my date’s hips and its making my body feel like it’s on fire.
The irony of all this heat building up while I’m surrounded by the Pacific Ocean isn’t completely lost on me. Neither are the penetrating brown eyes and bulging biceps of my modern day Sailor. Unfortunately, when we return to the marina tonight, I’ll be taking a very embarrassing item home with me in a to-go bag. And I’ll need to restart my Tinder search for happily-ever-after tomorrow. How exactly do people make love work when at our foundation, we’re all human?
Goes down as another off my 2019 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A book with water on the cover. Living on a tropical islands things are always likely to heat up in the sun.
Cassie likes giving herself number lists for reasons to do or not to do something as a way to work things out in her head. Helped when she was a lawyer and decided she wanted more of a balanced work/play life, new career path as an Eco-tour guide around the island seemed a perfect fit. Job life sorted, now on to the dating life, which is where things get a little interesting via Tinder with not all dates going to plan. You have a yogurt container story that has a bit of a messy end, along with kicking a date in the head. Trying to show how flexible you are while in a heated make out session isn’t the best move, he was focused on your lips love not your legs.
Sailboat boy (nickname needed as his name escapes her during the date) Tinder date at a swap meet was a fun easygoing way to get to know each other. Nickname sticks until she feels it’s going to go somewhere. How long before we find out his name? First date was calm but second date sailing on his boat for 12 hours was way more intense – can you think of what they might have filled the hours doing? Nice warm day so you know his shirt is coming off – good views all round. Watching a sunset at sea was always going to be romantic. With the chemistry buzzing between them one kiss was going to turn to two, which would then lead to caressing and more. Sailboat boy was good at making her feel all hot and bothered.
No matter the date number that follows for them sunsets = clothes melting off. Not that either really minds. Sure find some creative positions on that boat. But how can they get serious if neither really talks about what they want?
We get some interesting conversations between Cassie and her friends, especially when they are on their floaties and cocktails chilling days in the sea. They turn into fun interludes between her dates with Sailboat boy. Mainly a way for us, as well as her friends, to learn about whether he will call for another date after a certain yogurt container story comes to light. Really girl!
Fun characters throughout that draw you into the friendships and crazy dates they all seem to have – Cassie’s being very unique. Could have had a little more depth to them as a whole though. Chemistry was hot between Cassie and Sailboat boy, they did go on some fun dates but it kind of turned into just sex for the most part. Summer romance on a tropical island, will it last or is she to continue with the Tinder crazies? Chill out read for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
