Synopsis:

She wasn’t part of my original plan for revenge, but one glance at her and I was entranced. I followed her for weeks, observing her habits. I’ve been in her apartment numerous times, learning anything and everything I can about her. She’s become an obsession and I’ll do whatever it takes to make her mine.

It’s only a matter of time before I have her where I want her…

on her knees and at my mercy.

Soon, there will be no secrets between us.

Review

Well this starts out as a misguided plan of revenge for pain and anger that Zack just couldn’t deal with. It’s revenge he seeks against Kyle for taking away his chance to deal with his father. His parents were in an abusive relationship that soon spilled over to him at a young age. He had a lot of twisted anger built up inside, anger that needed to find a different release before it took him down too far to come back. His need for revenge stops the moment he sees Lana though. One look and he was a goner. She soon becomes a new type of obsession. One he longs to keep for years to come. Soon they will no longer have any secrets but for now the only way to get close to her is to use a few small ones. He can tell she’s been hurt, broken even, but he wants to put her back together again. She in turn is making him into a better man. The one he was meant to be, but the longer he holds off from telling her everything the harder the fall will be when everything comes crushing down.

Lana had been through a lot with her past boyfriend. He was her first everything so will always hold a part of her. You are just trying to figure out what happen to make them break up. You might have lots of theories but the answer is much sadder. With being a bit of a computer geek she progressed in school and college quickly. It means that she’s not so great in social environments due to experiencing them at such a young age. College at 15 isn’t really good for meeting people. She comes across as still a bit insecure with how she reacts when Zack gives her a compliment. Its like she can’t see herself like he can but he’s more than willing to keep repeating himself when it comes to her. Funny how she longs for a dominating man to protect her at the beginning when looking at her bosses relationships with how they act. Little did she know at the time that she did have her alpha male, he was just in the background waiting for his moment to come and claim her. He may be a little bit of a stalker but he doesn’t want to hurt her. Only get closer because he sees her as his. From the moment they kiss it pretty much seals the deal for both of them. They are linked from then on, going down a road unsure of how it will end. You are just keeping your fingers crossed it won’t end.

Hot spicy chemistry between them that grows slowly. Zack knows he needs to take his time so he won’t scare her off but some things are just far too tempting. All I’ll say is ‘What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?’ Lets see if it can be brought home because when he starts to show his kinkier side that’s when the fun really starts. Oh my! Lets just say when he gets her on a swing he makes it very clear whom she (specifically what body part) belongs to. Hold onto your hats because its about to get kinky in the best way.

They are perfect for each other as they are bringing out the best in each other and mending what’s been broken. How far will they get in their relationship though before the bubble bursts? Everything he’s ever done led him to her so he wouldn’t change it. You know he needs forgiveness for his sins and I have to say he does get it with what he does at the end. Keeps you hooked right from the start with how it will all play out. Great read and style of writing from start to finish.

5 out of 5 stars

I received this ARC from the author for my honest review.

Exclusive Content Excerpt:

Who is she? My eyes narrow as I take in the red haired nymph on the dance floor. Studying her movements, I notice she’s graceful and fluid, yet sexy at the same time. Watching her hips sensually sway to the slower tempo and grind to the thumping bass has my teeth clenching and my heart pounding wildly in my chest. I fight an instinctive urge to rush over, take her in my arms and never let her go.

What the hell is wrong with me? I’ve never had this reaction to a woman before. Usually they’re just a means to get off – a nameless, faceless hole to fuck. I use them hard and fast, bringing them extreme pleasure and pain because one isn’t as good without the other.

I’m tempted to slide behind her and let my hands roam over the gentle curves of her hips then slip around her waist to pull her flush against the front of me. There’d be no mistaking the effect her body has on me. She’d wiggle her ass against my cock, teasing me, then flick her eyes over her shoulder with a small playful smile on her shiny red lips. My fingers would slide down the soft material of her dress to skim along the bottom edge, trailing over her silky thighs. She’d tremble from my touch, proof she wants me too.

Merely thinking about it has me fighting the overwhelming urge to carry her off and have my wicked way with her. I want to see her cuffed to my bed, whimpering and begging for my tongue or hard cock.

She returns to the table in the back corner of Quake, a popular club in Boston, with her friends. Her cheeks are flushed pink from dancing and her hair falls around her shoulders in a sexy disarray of waves.

My eyes scan the faces of the people she’s with. I know the names and have background information on them all. I’m well acquainted with some, more than others. I grimace as my hand rubs over my stomach. It was only weeks ago that I had a knife buried to the hilt in my gut and I was at death’s doorstep. Seeing the person responsible causes anger to burn through my veins.

Taking a deep breath I flick my gaze back to the living red haired angel. Immediately, I feel a sense of calm wash over me. She’s the only new face amongst them and now that I’ve seen her – no other matters. I have to find out who she is. I need to learn all I can about her.

Her eyes scan the room as if she can sense the heat of my stare. I smirk knowing she feels it too. This pulsing attraction between us is powerful and it needs to be explored. It will be explored. When I set my mind to something, nothing stands in my way.

Her hands smooth down the material on the back of her dress before she sits. She awkwardly tugs down the bottom to provide as much modesty as possible, but the short length leaves a good portion of her long sleek legs exposed. I can tell she’s uncomfortable and I smile at her modesty. There’s a sense of innocence about her I find extremely attractive.

Round after round of drinks are ordered by her friends as I stand here, studying her every move, slowly sipping a beer. Watching her tongue make a slow trek around the rim of her margarita glass, licking up all traces of salt has me mesmerized.

She throws her head back laughing and her long red hair tumbles past her shoulders.

What would her hair feel like trailing over my bare chest if she bent down to kiss me while riding my cock?

I need to know who this precious angel is. Seeing her tonight isn’t a coincidence. Fate placed her in my path for a reason.

Standing to the side of the bar, my shoulder braced against a white stucco pillar, my casual body language conceals the hurricane of emotions she’s stirring up in me. She’s an unexpected twist in my well thought out plan. I can’t wait to get to know her.

Let the games begin…

Excerpt:

He finished scraping the windows with a smile on his face, and when he got in he wrapped an arm around her, pulling her across the bench seat and into his kiss. It was a strange juxtaposition of hot and cold—his skin chilled from being outside, his mouth hot against hers, his fingers freezing as they teased under her sweater inside her unbuttoned coat, heat pooling between her thighs.

She broke away gasping. “Let’s go home.”

Lance smiled, a devilish glint in his eye, like he knew exactly why she wanted to go home. He probably did. They knew each other so well, even though they’d only met six months ago. No one knew her better than him, not even Megan.

Instead of scooting back to her side of the bench seat, she fished the lap belt for the middle out of the crack where it met the back, wanting to stay close to Lance. He glanced down at her before putting the car in reverse and maneuvering them out of the parking lot. “I love you.”

She lay her head on his shoulder, enjoying the feel of his muscles working as he turned the steering wheel hand over hand. “I love you, too.”

They didn’t speak on the twenty minute drive home. Abby wanted to ask about his family’s reactions to her leaving yesterday and now him leaving today, but fear of what they might’ve said kept her silent. She didn’t want any negativity to ruin their reunion, even if they hadn’t been apart long. It felt like it had been ages since they’d been together. So talk of families, both families, could wait until they were home and fully reunited.

She could tell Lance had the same idea when he parked his suitcase just inside their door, dropping his backpack next to it, and immediately went to her, his hands going to her hips, his mouth melding with hers. She hadn’t even gotten her coat off yet, and his hands slid inside it, moving over her back, down to her ass and up her back again, this time under her sweater, his hands still chilly against her bare skin.

Her hands made a similar path over him, first up his chest, then down, pulling his sweatshirt up at his sides until her hands encountered bare skin. He broke away first, pushing back from her, his eyes glinting. “Bedroom. Naked. Now.”

Excerpt

Hannah held Matt’s gaze for what felt like an eternity, or maybe just a second. He stepped back from the table. She looked down at the empty glass in her hands, then out over the moving crowd, anywhere but at the space he’d occupied. A pang of disappointment reverberated below her ribs, fighting with the music for space in her body.

She took a deep breath, lifting her head. It shouldn’t matter. She came here with Elena and now wanted to hang out with Evan. He was funny, attractive, and interested. She shouldn’t feel disappointed that Matt was leaving and not looking at her anymore.

“I wouldn’t have expected to bump into you in a place like this.” Hannah drew in a deep breath at the low voice in her ear before she turned, her nose almost bumping into the center of Matt’s chest.

She raised her eyes, looking into his face. His expression gave nothing away. He’d gotten better at that face since she’d known him last. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

He tilted his head, examining her face. “From the way you dress in the office you look all prim and proper.” A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. “Or do you have an inner naughty librarian thing going on?”

Hannah’s nostrils flared, and she didn’t know how to respond. She narrowed her eyes.  “Maybe I do. And I’m not sure seeing me at work a few times gives you enough information to judge my character.”

He opened his mouth and closed it again, shaking his head a little, the playful smirk now gone. “You’re right. Seeing you a few times wouldn’t give me that kind of information.” He leaned in closer. “But my window overlooks the front doors. I’ve seen you every day.”

The low rumble of his voice sent shivers down Hannah’s spine, but she didn’t want to let him know that he affected her. Still. After all this time his presence and his voice in her ear had arousal zinging down her spine and wetness soaking her thong. Instead she gave him a cheeky grin. “Stalking me now? That seems inappropriate for an HR manager.”

He sucked in a breath in response, his eyes going wide. “No. What? I’m not—”

Hannah laughed, both at his stammering response and that her flippant comment had reduced him to this. When she’d known him before, he’d been smooth and unflappable. The only time she’d been able to get him flustered or losing control was in the bedroom. Or the back of the car, or covered by a blanket under the stars on the beach, or … Yeah, she needed to stop thinking about that. She laid a hand on his arm, the memories making her feel closer to him than she should. “I’m kidding, Matt.”

His eyes zeroed in on where she touched him. She realized what she was doing and jerked her hand away. A look passed over his face, almost like disappointment, but then he put his neutral mask back in place.
